Joseph Professor of Catholic Systematic Theology
Description
The Boston CollegeÌýTheology DepartmentÌýinvites applications for a senior scholar to serve asÌýthe Joseph Professor of Catholic Systematic Theology.ÌýApplicants should be established scholars in their field with a commitment to excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The appointment will be a tenured position at the rank of full Professor, andÌýwill begin in July 2026, with teaching duties beginning mid-August 2026.
This position is an appointment within theÌýTheology DepartmentÌýand the successful candidate will participate fully in the academic life of the Department. The faculty member will teach two courses in one semester and one course in the other semester (which by agreement with the Department Chair may include Theology Core courses, graduate seminars, or undergraduate electives) and advise graduate and undergraduate students.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D., scholarly expertise in Catholic systematic theology, and a ÄÐÅ®²Ù±ÆÊÓÆµÈí¼þ record of publications, and teaching experience commensurate with the rank of full Professor with tenure.
